As the Year of the Snake is just around the corner, Justin O'Jack, University of Virginia (UVA)'s chief representative in China, spoke with China News Network about the significance of the snake in traditional Chinese culture, which symbolizes wisdom and transformation.. 吴江浩：中国是一个超大经济体，看中国经济应着眼纵深视野、进行全景观察，客观整体把握当下之形与长远之势。几十年来的实践表明，用传统西方经济学的理论难以解释中国的巨大发展。就当前和未来而言，盯着一些短期、微观数据，继续用西方经典模型分析判断中国经济，仍将是不准确的。2023年中国经济顶住外部压力，克服内部困难，总体回升向好，国内生产总值增长5.2%，依然是对世界经济增长贡献最大的国家。正如习近平主席讲到的，前行路上，有风有雨是常态。尽管我们在经济运行中还面临一些困难和内外挑战，但中国发展面临的有利条件远多于不利因素，经济回升向好、长期向好的基本趋势没有改变。
检查中，信长星强调，“汲取教训不能停留在口头上，排查整治不能满足于发通知、贴告示，不能只看做了哪些工作，更要看还有哪些工作没有做、不到位。”
